HI, im Brian

I was raised in Anne Arundel County, growing up in a proud blue-collar family. To give you an idea–my father, “BigChiz”, worked as a bricklayer, which, by default, made me the brick carrier. I’m a product of our public school system, attended Anne Arundel Community College, and later transferred to Clemson University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing.
Before joining the Maryland legislature, I spent 20 years in the mortgage lending industry, gaining extensive experience in housing, construction, business operations, and banking. A fun fact: I was honored to be recognized among the Top 1% of Mortgage Lenders in the nation by Mortgage Executive Magazine in both 2016 and 2017. Now, I’m a small business owner of a 15,000 sq ft multifaceted fitness facility in Severna Park.
My colleagues in the Maryland General Assembly have given me the nickname, “BraveHeart”, for standing up and passionately speaking up for Freedom and Individual Liberty and against unfair, overtaxing and over regulating policies.

I’ve been happily married to my wife, Kristie, for nearly 25 years, and together we are proud parents to our son, Ty and to our adopted dog, Cabo. As a dedicated husband, father, and lifelong member of this community, I am committed to building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Maryland—one that is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
What I Stand For
Pillars of Commitment
As a Delegate, I am guided by the core principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability. Every decision I make is rooted in a commitment to serve with honesty and openness, always striving to reflect and uphold the values of our community. I take my role as a state legislator very seriously, and my core mission is to inform, educate, and protect those I represent. I am committed to our values and advocating for common sense in Annapolis.
“The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is”. – Winston Churchill
State Freedom Caucus
As a founding member of the Maryland State Freedom Caucus since its inception in 2025, I’m proud to stand alongside my fellow caucus members at the forefront of the fight for lower taxes, limited government, and real accountability from those elected to serve. Together, we are driving a bold, principled agenda that puts the people, not the bureaucracy, first. I stand firmly with small business owners, working families, and everyday Marylanders who simply want a government that delivers results efficiently, responsibly, and without wasting taxpayer dollars.
House Committee
Since taking office, I have served continuously on the Health and Government Operations Committee, where I focus on advancing policies that strengthen health care, improve public health, and enhance the effectiveness of state government operations and procurement.
Despite being in the minority party, our committee work is where I can be most effective in shaping legislation that affects all Marylanders and ensuring that the voices of my constituents are heard and reflected in the policymaking process.
Local Government
I am honored to serve as a member of the Anne Arundel County Delegation, where I work collaboratively to advance legislation that reflects the priorities and values of our local communities.
I take this role seriously because Anne Arundel County has been my home for over 40 years. I know that the most effective solutions often come from those who live and work closest to the challenges. That’s why I prioritize listening to our community—because your voices are essential to shaping policies that truly reflect our needs and values.
Energy and Economics
I’ve emerged as a leading advocate for practical, sustainable energy solutions that ensure Maryland’s long-term economic and environmental success. My approach prioritizes reliability, free markets, and feasibility without placing unnecessary burdens on businesses, families, or our local communities
“Resilient, reliable energy is critical to the well-being of every American. It keeps life-saving hospital equipment and communications systems operating, buildings at safe temperatures with good ventilation, and American workers going about their business without interruption,”
